Flutter - Environment Concept Art - Set 2
I really am having tons of fun building the aspects of Keoh that make it,... Keoh. In this set, I've also tried to seat the later part of the story as well into the artworks.
Even though I had a mental bias towards a certain look for the particular Butterfly tree that appears in the story, I still wanted to push certain aspects of it to have a tangible design to work off of.
The trunk towards the top, branches out quite some,.. and as a result, leaves room in between - 'A cozy little cocoon for dat young beastie'
Ground rules laid in.. Not a ridiculous design,.. just, the right one.
Later half of the story sees a seemingly uninhabited high rise cityscape. For the feel of it. I sought to achieve a sense of detachment and disability (visually) to feel welcome.. and the more the silence of the streets you let in, the more it takes...
No matter how disguised, a familiar face, always shows its true colors,.. The butterfly tree in its second appearance,. I wanted to stay the same, but the adornment puts it through new perspective.
This sketch visualizes a plausible gateway between the grasslands and the rest of the hidden grounds. A vine curtain not too uninviting for one with a keen eye.
Just another peaceful morning at Keoh..
There is this water body that runs across Keoh, rather narrow in some places where it gets crystal clear in the bright sunshine,.. and in other places like in the sketch, lies gently facilitating small scale aquatic life.
