CIPHI Character Design sketches and sheets - Vade with me - Chapter 3 (Zemblanity)
These are just most of my sketches and design for one of my characters - CIPHI from my latest project, 'Vade with me', - a story that I'm planning to tell through the beautiful medium of hand drawn animation....
Not to drag it out,.. but Ciphi is a quiet yet spirited life walker who finds beauty in the marshmallow looking clouds by morning and in the fireflies by night.
Living in a world where a collective nod marks the acceptable,... she pushes through to fill the void in her by watering the sapling she wants to see flourish.
After sketching my way through many different eye styles, I arrived at this design which would drive home Ciphi's unassuming and reserved nature yet at the same time, the keen design shows her alert and caring nature
Went ahead and created few of her most regular outfits,. Her wardrobe is one that lacks much color and intricacy as most of what she wears is just to keep her cozy during the demanding days out of home.
Being very aware of herself and the extent of emotional curiosity she lets pass, her expressiveness physically is subtle but vast... but her range of emotion in a general glance can be tempting to be seen off as lacking.
A few snippets from her daily life... also made an effort to create basic sketches of the mundane props that she might use regularly that might need designing
Just a few of the slight variations and all I had got at towards the later stages... the one in the middle is just🤌😍.. but is unfortunately... gonna have to take a back seat for the current design of Ciphi...
The super early versions of really quick designs that I had done... and also her "rock" filled bag with the little cloud keychain... Love it...
