As the sisters make their way through the unfine back alleys of Itawoncca, Ciphi finds solace in the downpour and soothes the ache of her past,... finding in this moment, a catalyst to think back as to why she pushes so hard.. and why it mustn't stop...
She stands there, one with her joy... those excited droplets...
Was a pretty straightforward painting,... took just a little over what I would have liked, timewise. Around 13 hours or so... i think..
Started with a super abstract looking line thing for the sketch as the really dynamic camera angle is just an exaggerated version of the shot in the actual story which I tried to capture quick as I felt it...
Did like six or so versions in linework for Ciphi's pose,... as I wasn't feeling any till I saw how the last one could work as I took it further.
Started the painting by just laying it all in,... get the whole mood going real soon.
Once I tweaked lighting and visual harmony in terms of color, got to pulling forms from the suggestive blobs,...
Went through a major part of the background and foreground elements and got them done first...
Then tackled the subjects.. also pulled back on the super dynamic lighting as it had strayed far from the scene and mood I had in mind.
